In a review of the work by Raffaella Bombi, appreciation for the thorough investigation of the topic is combined with a brief and, it is hoped, suggestive analysis of the presence of English lexis and forms in current Italian. A page of an Italian daily newspaper is analysed to provide some evidence of this phenomenon, supporting and illustrating Bombi's ideas.
