Design e interni nella contemporaneità: una relazione sospesa

The essay investigate the relationship between objects, housing and today's dwelling culture. The interaction that objects establish with the interiors of everyday living and the ways in which the design of the domestic dimension has responded to the past five decades’ cultural and social transformations, represent the two main topics around which to aggregate other thematic articulations and reflections, in both Italian and international context. Particularly, the essay aims is to explore the theoretical reflections and experimental research that design disciplines (product, communication and interior design) have developed in the conception and improving of models about inhabited interiors and the components (objects, furniture, finishes, domestic devices) that constitute them and enable their fruition. Furthermore, we would like to highlight the mutual relationships between interior design (furnishing) and the “system of objects”
