In the framework of APOTEMA (Acceleratordriven Production of TEchnetium/Molybdenum for medical Applications) research project, funded by INFN since 2012, the direct 99mTc production route via the 100Mo(p,2n)99mTc nuclear reaction has been studied and an automated extraction and separation module for high 99mTc yields has been developed. In this work the first Italian in vivo imaging studies performed as well by using the cerebral radiopharmaceutical (RF) HMPAO labelled with generator- and accelerator-produced 99mTc are presented.

Abstract
In the framework of APOTEMA (Acceleratordriven Production of TEchnetium/Molybdenum for medical Applications) research project, funded by INFN since 2012, the direct 99mTc production route via the 100Mo(p,2n)99mTc nuclear reaction has been studied and an automated extraction and separation module for high 99mTc yields has been developed. In this work the first Italian in vivo imaging studies performed as well by using the cerebral radiopharmaceutical (RF) HMPAO labelled with generator- and accelerator-produced 99mTc are presented.File in questo prodotto:
