Since July 1990 at the University Eye Clinic of Ferrara (Italy) the Ru 106/Rh 106 plaques were used to treat intraocular tumors. Twenty nine malignant melanomas and one choroidal haemangioma were treated. Post-treatment controls included: best corrected visual acuity, indirect ophthalmoscopy, fluorescein angiography and echography. In some cases echography and fluorescein angiography showed contrasting results. Post-treatment fluorescein angiography patterns are less well described in comparison to those of echography (i.e. thickness reduction and internal reflectivity increase). In a past review we described four fluorescein angiographic patterns: 1. Irregular early hyperfluorescence of all the lesion (borders and centre) not increasing in time. 2. 'Honey comb' hyperfluorescence with little increase in time. 3. Peripheral hyperfluorescence not increasing in time; early central hyperfluorescence increasing and enlarging in time. 4. Abstract

4. No fluorescence at all. Stage number two is a very fle...
