Abstract

We have read the paper on archaeological and geological Italian ambers by Angelini and Bellintani (2005), which presents interesting correlations of the spectra obtained by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and diffuse-reflectance infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT). We would like to add some considerations regarding the Triassic amber of the Dolomites (Italy), which is described in the article and has been the subject of our research.
