This paper is related to the problem of limit analysis of plane steel structures either in-plane or transversely loaded. A suitable procedure for optimizing the load-carrying factor is presented which, in the framework of the local theory makes it possible to take into account the effect of shear force in addition to the bending moment and other relevant stress resultants. In this connection lower bound interaction surface relating bending moment, axial and shear forces or bending and twisting moments and shear are presented with regard to I-shaped and hollow-box sections. Abstract
Some clarifying applications of the method are cited.File in questo prodotto:
