This chapter deals with the textual tradition of the first narrative (1612-1623) of Alonso Jerónimo de Salas Barbadillo, underlining the validity and usefulness of the Neo-Lachmannian method, without neglecting under no circumstances the contributions of typophilology. Namely: La hija de Celestina (1612), La ingeniosa Elena (1614), El caballero puntual (1614 and 1619), Corrección de vicios (1615), Casa del placer honesto (1620), El necio bien afortunado (1621) and Don Diego de Noche (1623).
