MUVAR, il primo museo interamente dedicato a un cacciatore del Paleolitico

This article presents the MUVAR – Museum of Humankind of Val Rosna, dedicated to past human groups, Neanderthals and the first Homo sapiens, and above all to the emblematic figure of a prehistoric hunter who lived in the Belluno Alps 14,000 years ago. Through an exhibition that integrates archaeology, anthropology and multimedia technologies, the MUVAR offers a journey that immerses visitors in the environment, daily life, survival techniques and spirituality of the first inhabitants of the Feltrino area. The exhibition is based on scientific data from studies conducted at the Villabruna Rock Shelters and on the burial found there, in an exceptional context due to the types of materials recovered, their state of preservation, clarity and striking nature. MUVAR also presents itself as an educational and cultural hub, offering different modes of engagement for a wide and diverse audience.

Questo articolo presenta il MUVAR - Museo dell’Uomo di Val Rosna, dedicato alle umanità del passato, Neandertal e primi Sapiens, e soprattutto alla figura emblematica di un cacciatore preistorico vissuto nelle Alpi Bellunesi 14.000 anni fa. Attraverso l’allestimento museale che integra archeologia, antropologia e tecnologie multimediali, il MUVAR offre un percorso espositivo che immerge i visitatori nell’ambiente, la vita quotidiana, le tecniche di sopravvivenza e la spiritualità dei primi abitanti del Feltrino attraverso i dati scientifici emersi dagli studi condotti sui Ripari Villabruna e sull’inumato in un contesto eccezionale per tipologia dei materiali rinvenuti, condizioni di conservazione, leggibilità e spettacolarità. Il MUVAR si presenta anche come polo didattico e culturale che propone diverse modalità di fruizione per un pubblico differenziato.
