The paper will proceed as follows. First, we briefly review the current state of the discussion about the aims and benefits of public engagement with philosophy, focusing on what doing philosophymight entail. In sections 2 and 3, we examine some concrete examples of engagement with philosophical knowledge and methods by members of the public, namely visiting a philosophy museum and participating in a philosophy workshop in a cultural venue. We analyze these examples by highlighting potential contributions to the promotion of good epistemic skills. In section 4, we argue that doing philosophy enables users and participants to further develop and practice their capacity to acquire, produce, share, and use knowledge.

Abstract
The paper will proceed as follows. First, we briefly review the current state of the discussion about the aims and benefits of public engagement with philosophy, focusing on what doing philosophymight entail. In sections 2 and 3, we examine some concrete examples of engagement with philosophical knowledge and methods by members of the public, namely visiting a philosophy museum and participating in a philosophy workshop in a cultural venue. We analyze these examples by highlighting potential contributions to the promotion of good epistemic skills. In section 4, we argue that doing philosophy enables users and participants to further develop and practice their capacity to acquire, produce, share, and use knowledge.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
