Sustainability is a transversal value to the conservation of the historic built heritage, requiring an approach that meets criteria that can be pursued to the direction, for example, of the aware selection of materials to be used in the interventions to meet the compatibility constraints imposed by the pre-existing building. In addition, the use of procedures that reduce the environmental impact of the construction site, the definition of strategies for adequate durability of the solutions, and the careful planning of the financial resources are all aspects relevant to conservation and clearly emerge from the cases study illustrated below. Historic or modern specialized buildings and spontaneous construction are addressed to highlight the distinctive values of an aware process of preserving the pre-existing buildings.

Abstract
Sustainability is a transversal value to the conservation of the historic built heritage, requiring an approach that meets criteria that can be pursued to the direction, for example, of the aware selection of materials to be used in the interventions to meet the compatibility constraints imposed by the pre-existing building. In addition, the use of procedures that reduce the environmental impact of the construction site, the definition of strategies for adequate durability of the solutions, and the careful planning of the financial resources are all aspects relevant to conservation and clearly emerge from the cases study illustrated below. Historic or modern specialized buildings and spontaneous construction are addressed to highlight the distinctive values of an aware process of preserving the pre-existing buildings.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
