This paper presents a vision for Europe in 2050, developed through a comprehensive analysis of two scenarios. These scenarios are based on two extreme conditions: a Europe devastated by wars, conflicts, and climate change, and a Europe characterized by a highly positivist and peaceful outcome. To develop these scenarios, a range of factors have been considered, including democratic conditions, migration patterns, technological advancements, climate change, and an aging population. The authors' experience in the south-eastern region provides a valuable perspective, offering insights that inform the development of the scenarios and the vision. The paper also emphasizes the crucial role of planning and planners in developing and implementing visions.
