Advances in technology continue to offer new opportunities to the international maritime business, as evident in the digitalization of transport documents as well as more secure, streamlined services and data transactions. One of the direct consequences of the speed with which this modernisation of the shipping trade has been implemented is that relevant laws have not been able to keep up, leaving a gap. This paper explores how blockchain, with its suite of technologies including NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) presents a promising solution to reshape the eB/L, addressing its inherent flaws and ushering in a new era of reliability and efficiency. This Article will give an overview of the recent rapid progress in the application of blockchain technology within the shipping sector, paying particular attention to NFTs- non fungible tokens, as their impact on the logistics and transportation industry is destined to grow. In this study, the advantages and disadvantages of the above technology will be highlighted with the aim of providing direction for increasing the confidence of institutions and stakeholders in the use of new e/BL systems, whilst also referring to the eFTI Regulation as a source of inspiration for possible solutions.

Abstract
In this study, the advantages and disadvantages of the above technology will be highlighted with the aim of providing direction for increasing the confidence of institutions and stakeholders in the use of new e/BL systems, whilst also referring to the eFTI Regulation as a source of inspiration for possible solutions.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
