It is widely known that Visual Disability (VD) impacts all areas of child’s development, psychological wellbeing and quality of life, and that this impact is greater the earlier and more severe the impairment is (McKean-Cowdin et al., 2007; Pring & Tadic, 2010). Therefore, it is fundamental to implement early community-based interventions that monitor the holistic child’s development and psychological wellbeing, and, at the same time, that involve the different child’s contexts of life (e.g., family, school). In this regard, this paper presents the experience of the Robert Hollman Foundation and the key role of the multidisciplinary team in building around the child and their family a network of interventions. Such a community-based intervention aims to generalize child’s achievements and to create around the child and their family a responsive and supportive environment with respect to their needs.
