The report presents a summary of the research that the group TVK-GULLER-ACADIE, conducted on the subject of the new metropolitan economy and presents a critical analysis of the current thinking, in the framework of the demand to analyse the potential for a special commission for regional "new Economy" in Greater Paris. Putting a commission centred on the 'new economy' into perspective has led us to question the dominant approaches to metropolitan development metropolitan development and to propose a change of perspective.
