The article analyzes the unpublished will of a painter known only through documents, Emmanuel Sbaigher known as the Todeschino, who was first in the service of the court of Alessandro d’Este, then with Scipione Borghese. From this document it is possible to glean interesting information about the circulation of some paintings between the pontifcate of Paul V and that of Urban VIII.
