The City of Dresden, in cooperation with Bonava investors, launched an international restrained competition of urban design, landscape design and architecture to define the key urban plot of the new urban development known as the Kaditz Michten district. The winning proposal defines a rigid urban frame, confirming the axis and alignments of the existing fabric, while making space for a green interior, inhabited by more informal wooden typologies (baugruppen) and a mix of private, and semipublic green open spaces. A peculiar attention is reserved to make the plot car-free and keeping green area in plain-earth, in order to allow higher plantations to be installed and optimize the micro-climate.

Abstract
The City of Dresden, in cooperation with Bonava investors, launched an international restrained competition of urban design, landscape design and architecture to define the key urban plot of the new urban development known as the Kaditz Michten district. The winning proposal defines a rigid urban frame, confirming the axis and alignments of the existing fabric, while making space for a green interior, inhabited by more informal wooden typologies (baugruppen) and a mix of private, and semipublic green open spaces. A peculiar attention is reserved to make the plot car-free and keeping green area in plain-earth, in order to allow higher plantations to be installed and optimize the micro-climate.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
