The paper intends to analyze the argumentative plexus "revolution-utopia" in Ernst Bloch's work "Geist der Utopie (Spirit of Utopia)" (1918) from an aesthetic perspective. According to this frame, the points of contact with the philosophers Oswald Spengler and Gyorgy Lukács are stressed, but also the nodes of continuity and discontinuity with respect to Bloch's subsequent production.
