The main objective of the paper is, on the one hand, to clarify the historical, hermeneutical, and theoretical reasons which sustain the relationship between the phenomenology of M. Henry and Fichte’s transcendental philosophy. On the other hand, the paper aims to show how the clarification of the textual and contextual relationship between Henry’s phenomenology and Fichte’s doctrine of appearance may constitute an essential contribution within the framework of current debates surrounding Henry’s material phenomenology.
