Valutazioni standardizzate di matematica: evidenze di difficoltà dalla scuola primaria alla scuola secondaria di secondo grado [Standardized assessment in Mathematics: highlights of difficulties from primary school to upper secondary school]

The present contribution shows analysis of standardized Italian mathematics assessments tasks: a Paper&Pencil task administered to students in the fifth grade of Primary School and a task administered in CBT-Computer Based Testing mode to second year students of upper secondary school. The combined analysis of the texts and the results of the questions highlights widespread gaps in terms of lack of contextual, conceptual and semantic mastery of the problematic situation in the resolution of mathematical tasks.

Il presente contributo mostra l’analisi di due quesiti rientranti nelle valutazioni standardizzate italiane di matematica: uno somministrato in modalità cartacea agli studenti della classe quinta della scuola primaria e uno somministrato in modalità CBT-Computer Based Testing a studenti della classe seconda della scuola secondaria di secondo grado. L’analisi combinata dei testi e dei risultati dei quesiti evidenzia delle lacune diffuse in termini di mancanza di padronanza contestuale, concettuale e semantica della situazione problematica proposta nei task matematici.
