Distrazione osteogenetica in un caso di atrofia alveolare post.traumatica. [Alveolar reconstruction by Axial Vertical Distraction Osteogenesis]

Alveolar deficiency is among the most common skeletal deformities after mandibular trauma and teeth loss. A combined recovery of missing bone and soft tissue is mandatory. Distraction osteogenesis increases simultaneously the volume of bone and soft tissues. After distraction the area is then suitable for the prosthetic rehabilitatio. The Author reports a case of alveolar reconstruction by axial vertical distractio osteogenesis. The surgical technique employed will be presented and the achieved preliminary results are discussed.
