Francisco Mangado’s design for the museum expansion creates a space where history and innovation overlap and where visions of interior and exterior are filtered through awareness of the passing of time and its stratification, creating an evocative relationship between the old and the new, and relying on natural light for the volumetric articulation of the new architecture.

Il progetto di Francisco Mangado per l’ampliamento museale crea uno spazio dove si sovrappongono storia e innovazione e dove le visioni tra interno ed esterno sono filtrate attraverso la consapevolezza dello scorrere del tempo e dalla sua stratificazione, creando suggestive relazioni tra preesistenza e nuovo, e affidando alla luce naturale l’articolazione volumetrica della nuova architettura.
