There is a close relationship between the child’s body, the main means for expressing and organizing his/her experience, and, the child’s mind and those cognitive aspects related to his/her spatial coding and orientation. Body and mind, in fact, intersect from the child’s very first experiences in exploring the environment. This article analyses the way a child interacts with space inside and outside his/her body and how the role of the neuropsychomotor therapist can be used in analysing the child’s visual-spatial skills. A special evaluation tool has been created for guiding the therapist in assessing such skills. It also allows the therapist to identify objectives and strategies during psychomotor intervention when visual-spatial deficits are present. In addition, this protocol has been applied to three children whose treatments are presented as a clinical contribution for stimulating the therapist’s considerations on individualizing each rehabilitative project.

Abstract
In addition, this protocol has been applied to three children whose treatments are presented as a clinical contribution for stimulating the therapist’s considerations on individualizing each rehabilitative project.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
