The state of health emergency we are experiencing has had an important influence on both private and working life as well as on the way we relate in society. This last aspect already has, and will do so even more in the coming years, changed the way of living the open space of cities. It is therefore crucial to involve in the planning of the interventions also outdoor spaces of buildings, such courtyards, porches, squares, which distinguish the typical texture of the historic centres and have an environmental influence on users’ comfort perceptions. The paper presents some preliminary environmental simulations of the courtyard of Palazzo Tassoni Estense, a Renaissance building in Ferrara, as an example of potential programming tool for subsequent retrofit interventions in the historic city
l contributo presenta alcune simulazioni ambientali preliminari dello spazio a corte di Palazzo Tassoni Estense, edificio rinascimentale di Ferrara, come esempio di possibile strumento di programmazione di successivi interventi di retrofit.
