Recently, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) combined with electroencephalography (EEG) has been adopted to assess cortical oscillatory activity in humans, highlighting altered neuronal oscillations in neuropsychiatric disorders[2]. Several evidence supportthe hypothesis that the major depressive disorder (MDD) is characterized by a cortical asymmetry in frontal regions and that repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) could be an effective neurostimulation treatment in refractory depression, modulating cortical excitability.

Abstract
Recently, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) combined with electroencephalography (EEG) has been adopted to assess cortical oscillatory activity in humans, highlighting altered neuronal oscillations in neuropsychiatric disorders[2]. Several evidence supportthe hypothesis that the major depressive disorder (MDD) is characterized by a cortical asymmetry in frontal regions and that repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) could be an effective neurostimulation treatment in refractory depression, modulating cortical excitability.File in questo prodotto:
