The paper presents a new damage assessment model defined for the strain energy density parameter. The model is defined for calculations in the frequency domain for the case of narrow-band loading. The strain energy density parameter is described as well as the process of determination of the proposed model. The general probability density and the probability density model of peaks for the proposed model is introduced. The damage degree model is used in the process of verification with a theoretical material and simulated stress loading signal. The comparison of results between the frequency and time domain calculation show good correlation between the obtained results.

Abstract

The paper presents a new damage assessment model defined for the strain energy density parameter. The model is defined for calculations in the frequency domain for the case of narrow-band loading. The strain energy density parameter is described as well as the process of determination of the proposed model. The general probability density and the probability density model of peaks for the proposed model is introduced. The damage degree model is used in the process of verification with a theoretical material and simulated stress loading signal. The comparison of results between the frequency and time domain calculation show good correlation between the obtained results.
