In contrast to previously published results derived from rabbit eyes, in the primate eye, artificially induced elevations in intraocular pressure (IOP) in the physiologic range did not significantly affect the refractive status after radial keratotomy. Some hyperopic effects seen with larger increases in IOP suggest that, in humans, glaucoma may affect the visual results of radial keratotomy.
