The article addresses the issue of consequential unconstitutionality in the constitutional judgement between State and Regions. Taking into consideration the importance of such power at the disposal of the Constitutional Court, the author reconstructs its prerequisites, its scope of application, its contents and limits in the light of present doctrinal theories and the most recent jurisprudence. The article concludes with a general classification of the consequential unconstitutionality in the context of the trial between State and Regions before the Constitutional Court, with repercussions on the autonomy of territorial authorities itself.
