Four Occitan poets and philologists of 20th century make a tribute to Arnaut Daniel. Their sextains, in addition to replicating the famous retrogradatio cruciata in various forms, reflect a particular sense of affiliation to an Occitan, post-medieval literature that is still rich and alive in its genres and outcomes, even if it has been eclipsed for centuries by the French tradition. This tombeau poétique is also an opportunity to express pride and hope for its redemption.

Abstract
Four Occitan poets and philologists of 20th century make a tribute to Arnaut Daniel. Their sextains, in addition to replicating the famous retrogradatio cruciata in various forms, reflect a particular sense of affiliation to an Occitan, post-medieval literature that is still rich and alive in its genres and outcomes, even if it has been eclipsed for centuries by the French tradition. This tombeau poétique is also an opportunity to express pride and hope for its redemption.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
