Objective: To know the social determinants of child labor and the policies for diversity in work and education in Corrientes, located in the northeast of Argentina (NEA) from an existential point. Method: We go to the analysis of documents and statistics, in addition to the consultation of qualified informants in work and education. Results: The statistical analysis shows that the enormous persistent regional inequalities and the problems of extreme child poverty provide conditions for child labor to increase. Regarding the nature and profile of child labor in Corrientes, it is observed that there is diversity of sex, age, culture, type of work, duration of the day, etc. Conclusions: Child labor constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights which needs to be eradi- cated from numerous inter-ministerial and intersectoral policies, and policies of and for diversity in education are necessary to incorporate the education system. There are partial and limited information, missing official data from the entire province, which prevents thinking about policies in and for diversity in the school that includes them through new methodologies, content, resources, teachers and proactive managers.
