Dear Editor, We have recently read with interest the important article entitled “Is cervical screening preventing adenocarcinoma and adenosquamous carcinoma of the cervix?” by Castanon et al.1 that provides a new insight into the impact of cervical cytology screening on glandular lesions. In the developed countries, the incidence of cervical squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) has decreased for decades, whereas an opposite trend has been noted for adenocarcinoma (AC), especially among younger women.2
