Nowadays, the consumption of birds and their products (e.g., eggs) in our diet is seen as commonplace. Another common occurrence is how certain feathers are used to make warm clothing or bedding, or how some are used for decorative purposes, not only on the body but also in certain places or homes. However, something as common as this human-bird relationship at the present time provides a fascinating and somewhat controversial debate if we look back to the past.
