The Tertiary succession outcropping on the eastern side of the Garda lake (M. BAldo, M: Brione, Val di gresta etc.) have been studied by means of facies analysis and biostratigraphy (Larger and planktonic foraminifera). As a result, the paleogeographic and structural evolution of the western margin of the Lessini Shelf has been reconstructed.
