Voluto da una committenza aggregata privata, con idee molto chiare e acute sensibilità ecologiche, rappresenta un modello esportabile di comportamento socio-culturale, tecnico ed economico. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------The Wolfurt (AUT) residences of Frühlingsstrasse, by the Arch. Christoph Kalb, represent an intervention of eco-sustainable housing with high energy efficiency (Low Energy/Passivhouse standards) and example of best-practice. Wanted by seven families organized together - with clear ideas and high ecological sensibility, represents an exportable model of building process and cultural, technical and economic behavior. The main concept that influenced the architectural philosophy is the equivalent orientation to south of all the houses joined with the maximum intimacy for all the residents (despite of an high BNZ standard of the building area), the link to the regional cycle track, the use of ecological building materials (prefabricated timber elements), low heating energy requirement, excellent level of airtightness, good indoor air quality and use of natural products for thermal insulation.
