Two different methods for cleaning waxed PVC and porcelain grès hospital room floors were compared to determine their decontamination capacity. These methods involved: 1. an initial dry wiping followed by washing; 2. an initial damp wash followed by a dry wipe. The cleaning method that calls for an initial dry wipe followed by washing did not produce any significant reduction in the average bacterial load (9.59 73.54 in the floors in PVC and 1.45 33.66 in the porcelain grès floors). On the contrary, an initial damp wash followed by a dry wipe reduced the bacterial load in both types of flooring (respectively 78.85 12.26 and 67.19 13.89). The comparison of the two cleaning methods proved statistically significant.

Abstract
The comparison of the two cleaning methods proved statistically significant.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
