The influence of Poisson's ratio upon the free vibrations of free-edge circular plates is studied, both when in vacuum and in contact with liquid. In the latter case, the liquid-structure interaction is evaluated by applying the added virtual mass approach. The frequency and mode shape parameters, as well as the non-dimensionalized added virtual mass incremental (NAVMI) factors are given for modes having up to seven nodal diameters and five nodal circles and the full range of possible Poisson's ratios. © 1995 Academic Press, Inc.

Abstract
The influence of Poisson's ratio upon the free vibrations of free-edge circular plates is studied, both when in vacuum and in contact with liquid. In the latter case, the liquid-structure interaction is evaluated by applying the added virtual mass approach. The frequency and mode shape parameters, as well as the non-dimensionalized added virtual mass incremental (NAVMI) factors are given for modes having up to seven nodal diameters and five nodal circles and the full range of possible Poisson's ratios. © 1995 Academic Press, Inc.File in questo prodotto:
