The Authors carried out a new experimental research model in order to find out possible correlations, if any, between lactic acid amounts in the culture medium (A549 cell culture) and human P. carinii growth, with or without medium substitution every 24 hours. Overall findings seem to suggest that lactic acid which can derivate either from cell culture or parasite metabolism, is involved in Pneumocystis carinii inhibiting growth control.

Abstract
The Authors carried out a new experimental research model in order to find out possible correlations, if any, between lactic acid amounts in the culture medium (A549 cell culture) and human P. carinii growth, with or without medium substitution every 24 hours. Overall findings seem to suggest that lactic acid which can derivate either from cell culture or parasite metabolism, is involved in Pneumocystis carinii inhibiting growth control.File in questo prodotto:
