Abstract
The first part of this paper introduces and summarizes recent progresses made in the area of computing for experimental high-energy and theoretical physics. Common approaches are taken by experimentalists and theoretical physicists in some cases, while diverging paths are still present in other areas. In the second part, advances in the design of new accelerators for high-energy physics experiments are presented in combination with recent developments in detector technologies. © Società Italians di Fisica.File in questo prodotto:
