The paper evaluates the impact of hidden terminal problem and capture effect on Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems based on slotted non-persistent Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA). The analytical model permits to compute the throughput in a system with a finite station number considering hidden terminal and capture probabilities depending on the number of active users in each slots. The system topology is centralized with a hub in a strategic position. The analytical model is validated by means of simulations.

Abstract
The paper evaluates the impact of hidden terminal problem and capture effect on Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) systems based on slotted non-persistent Carrier Sense Multiple Access (CSMA). The analytical model permits to compute the throughput in a system with a finite station number considering hidden terminal and capture probabilities depending on the number of active users in each slots. The system topology is centralized with a hub in a strategic position. The analytical model is validated by means of simulations.File in questo prodotto:
