Abstract
At the sanctuary of Olympia, the agon acquired the value of a rite, in which the disciplined body, the athletic gesture, and victory itself became an offering and tribute to the deity. Between cult, sacrifice, sacred truce, and the Panhellenic ideal, the ancient Olympic Games reveal a conception of human excellence oriented toward the divine, in which competition and spirituality merge into a single sacred experience.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
