In 1938, the Aniene Chemical Company opened a factory in Ferrara, contributing to the local industrial development. Designed by Carlo Savonuzzi and Enzo Baglioni, a block of eight villas was built using standardised building models to keep costs down. The war interrupted the work and the construction projects, and only two of the villas were built.
