CONCLUSIONS

As part of digital transformation, the Digital Twin introduces numerous risks related to the increasing number of integrated technologies interconnected with the physical environment. The risks concern access authorisations, data breaches, cyber-attacks, and potential misuse of sensitive information. However, the areas of greatest risk also represent areas for further research and innovation and thus opportunities for the supply chain to implement new services related to the building and construction project. Technologies such as blockchain, for example, are becoming increasingly important not only in the direction of certification and non-falsification of information, but also as complementary tools to existing ones such as BIM tools. Therefore, it is possible to identify areas of future development of the AEC industry in the direction of more mature production chains.
