This work illustrates the development and acoustic optimisation of a sustainable panel made of jute fibres, beginning with the characterisation of loose fibres through normal incidence sound absorption measurements conducted in an impedance tube. The proposed methodology resulted in the creation of a fibrous panel with a class A weighted sound absorption coefficient, experimentally assessed through measurements in a reverberation chamber in accordance with ISO 354.
