The specific case of the subway construction at the Municipio Station in Naples is examined to reflect on the relationship between history and the restoration project, between the need for conservation and the need for transformation. A relationship that finds its possible synthesis in the operational construction site, beyond the project.

La realizzazione di nuove infrastrutture all'interno della città storica pone il problema della trasformazione del patrimonio architettonico a causa delle nuove esigenze della città contemporanea. Il contributo esamina il caso specifico della metropolitana Stazione Municipio di Napoli per riflettere sul rapporto tra storia e progetto di restauro, tra esigenza di conservazione e necessità di trasformazione.
