The research aims at studying the procurement strategies of flint in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (north-eastern Italy) during the late prehistory. In particular, two strictly connected subjects are under examination at present: one focuses on a single complex represented by surface lithic scatters, and the other on the relationship between chert, as natural rock potentially usable for making tools, and flint, as raw material actually used by man in the past. The general structure of the project will be presented here in some detail

Abstract
The research aims at studying the procurement strategies of flint in Friuli-Venezia Giulia (north-eastern Italy) during the late prehistory. In particular, two strictly connected subjects are under examination at present: one focuses on a single complex represented by surface lithic scatters, and the other on the relationship between chert, as natural rock potentially usable for making tools, and flint, as raw material actually used by man in the past. The general structure of the project will be presented here in some detailFile in questo prodotto:
