Adolescents, intergenerational relationships and sustainable future: the role of school and education

Panel introduction. The panel explores the relationship between adolescence, moral development, environmental justice, and sustainability. Adolescents are seen as active agents in shaping their values and commitments, particularly concerning environmental issues. Education is crucial in this process, providing spaces for young people to express themselves and translate their values into concrete actions. It is essential that adolescents’ creative energy, critical and divergent thinking, and the ability to embrace challenges can help find vital and transformative space in society. How can adults, through educational situations and experiences, accompany adolescents in defining and realizing their environmental justice values?
