The paper aims to illustrate some of the methodologies that can be used to curate an exhibition spread throughout urban spaces, via the case of Visioni Veneziane photography exhibition. By re-reading unpublished research documents, interviewing the curator and taking part in the curatorial activities as an intern, the author outlines the main themes and objectives of the exhibition, takes it as an example of an alternative display typology, highlighting both its positive outcomes and problems, and compares it to other urban curating experiences. The paper describes Visioni Veneziane as a stimulating and experimental case of urban curating.
