In recent years, new archaeological evidence has highlighted the human presence in the central Pyrenees in the first centuries of the Neolithic. This paper presents the data from a first study of the Lobrica Cave, located in the Añisclo Canyon, in the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park and in the municipality of Fanlo. The cave is located on a very steep slope, at an altitude of 930 m. First documented by Briet, in 2011 it was visited by members of the Aragonese Center of Speleology who reported the discovery of several fragments of printed pottery. In the following years, two interventions have been carried out in order to confirm the archaeological interest of the cavity, which apparently shows no more recent evidence of human occupation. These interventions have confirmed the existence of an Early Neolithic phase, possibly with two distinct occupations, dated between 5400 and 4900 calANE. The preliminary study of the archaeological materials shows the presence of impressed and decorated pottery with boquique, the consumption of domestic fauna and lithic tools that worked non-woody plants, perhaps including cereals. Several charcoal lines were also found on the cave wall. The state of preservation of its materials augurs a great potential of the site for the study of the first communities with agriculture and livestock in this sector of the mountain range.

Abstract
The state of preservation of its materials augurs a great potential of the site for the study of the first communities with agriculture and livestock in this sector of the mountain range.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
