The paper focuses on digital documentation as a tool for the conservation of 20th century architecture, which, in many cases, is in a condition of significant risk due to progressive and irreversible transformations or even demolitions. In this context, two projects were carried out within the Keeping it Modern programme of the Getty Foundation, aimed at setting up conservation plans for modern buildings in Brazil. The activities resulted in the achievement of the integrated digital documentation on two masterpieces of Brazilian Modern architecture in São Paulo: Lina Bo Bardi’s Casa de Vidro and the University of São Paulo Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning building by João Batista Vilanova Artigas. The work carried out made it possible to obtain accurate 3D information databases of the buildings using terrestrial laser scanners and diagnostic techniques. The resulting conservation plans are an essential source of documentation and knowledge to guarantee buildings preservation.

Abstract
The resulting conservation plans are an essential source of documentation and knowledge to guarantee buildings preservation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
