This project will focus on the molecular mechanisms involved in RAD21-mutated CIPO leading to enteric neurons alterations thereby affecting gut motility. We will use a genetically constructed Rad21A626T mouse model to address gut dysfunction and molecular abnormalities, better understand neurogenic CIPO and identify potentially druggable pathways to compensate the deranged mechanisms. The foreseen steps in the TDP outline will start from 1 to 3 of the Basic Research Plan.

Abstract

This project will focus on the molecular mechanisms involved in RAD21-mutated CIPO leading to enteric neurons alterations thereby affecting gut motility. We will use a genetically constructed Rad21A626T mouse model to address gut dysfunction and molecular abnormalities, better understand neurogenic CIPO and identify potentially druggable pathways to compensate the deranged mechanisms. The foreseen steps in the TDP outline will start from 1 to 3 of the Basic Research Plan.
