The ALPI linear accelerator, as part of the SPES facility, requires the upgrade for the increasing of the energy, transmission and reliability of the accelerator [1]. One of the main parts of the ALPI upgrade is the installation of two additional cryostats in the high-β region of the accelerator [2]. 8 high-β Nb/Cu QWR cavities and 8 Nb/Cu plates should be produced for the upgrade of the ALPI linac. The technology of the plates production for the QWR cavities is extremely important. The quality of the produced Nb/Cu QWR plates has a direct influence onto the cryogenic performance of the cavity-plate systems, which will be installed in the ALPI linac during the ALPI Upgrade.

Abstract
The ALPI linear accelerator, as part of the SPES facility, requires the upgrade for the increasing of the energy, transmission and reliability of the accelerator [1]. One of the main parts of the ALPI upgrade is the installation of two additional cryostats in the high-β region of the accelerator [2]. 8 high-β Nb/Cu QWR cavities and 8 Nb/Cu plates should be produced for the upgrade of the ALPI linac. The technology of the plates production for the QWR cavities is extremely important. The quality of the produced Nb/Cu QWR plates has a direct influence onto the cryogenic performance of the cavity-plate systems, which will be installed in the ALPI linac during the ALPI Upgrade.I documenti in SFERA sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
